JethroBo
Somehow a CA for an account I had back in 95' called me today bugging me about how I owe about $3000.00 in debt on my CC from Sears. She asked me how I am going to take care of this or should she just send this into the "litigation dept". I told her to go ahead and send it. She also asked me if I had seen my credit report, And I promptly answered yes...She said "well?", I said its no where on there, Sorry. I told her not to call my work anymore and she just about hung up on me there. Seems they had been sending the old bills to my address from 6 years ago, With no response. She was pretty dog gone rude. Is it me, Or do most CA callers seem to be rude girls from New Jersey?
LadynRed
LOL ! In my experience, they're ALL rude if they're in that business. Was 1995 the last time you paid Sears ??

They can't do anything to you, UNLESS you want to do something to them, she has already violated by telling you it was going to the *litigation* department.Which CA was it?? Just curious! Was 1995 the last time you paid Sears ??Yep, 95' was the last I paid on it. Actually was probably before then....Even the CA lady knew it was 10 years old....She even went as far as to ask me if I "remembered" this account. I wrote down what CA it was, But I have to find it. Its GOT to be some bottom feeder company, I mean trying to collect on a 10 year CC account. I just wonder how she ended up with mine, Unless its newbie initiation into collection. JethroBo
Any idea how I could file suit against these morons? Again I did not get their name, Even though she told me and about their website were I could log in and view my collection, I did not have anything to write on and was really just steamed. Anyone know who collects on OLD sears accounts? Kinda hoping she calls again so I could get their info + it would be her 2nd time calling after asking them not to. KentWA
Well she threatened you with a law suit twice, and they legally can not do that so you have 2 violations right there. You need to get the name of this JDB next time they call.

nimrod
How come I never get calls like that? I could make so much $$$$ .....Ain't it the truth - I've got recording equipment, laid all my traps, and nothing but silence. Pretty much mirrors my luck as a fisherman - they can be jumping all around the boat, but the minute I get a baited hook in the lake, nothing but smooth water...
