Here is what the tradeline saysMJ Altman companiescollection reported: assigned 7/2000 client Munroe Regional amount $338status as of 9/2000 unpaidBalance as of 9/2000$338 individualI'm not sure that i've ever been to that hospital but I sent DV letter and it came back verified. Munroe Regional never sent me a thing validating this debt. What should be my next step? Should I leave it alone?
Begirl Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 I have them for roughly 5 collections on each of my CRs. I sent a DV over 30 days ago but they've not replied as of yet. There was a link on another board that talks about it being illegal to send medical bills to CAs in Florida - the person just settled on the case. I'm in the process of composing a letter with quotes from HIPAA and FL Statutes. There's a clause in HIPAA that says State laws can override HIPAA if they're more restrictive. I also have a couple other CAs reporting medical bills.
