Guest
Is there any good services out there you can subscribe to that maybe offers a free credit report a week and maybe tools to easily fight wrong entries etc... and that works with all 3 credit bureaus.i just want a good "log-in" and access everything kind of service that offers premium services to keep you on top of your records. An all-in-one stop if you will. Please advise!
lyrech
I am using 2 different services right now. I one is privacy guard. It gives me a credit report and FAKO score from all three CBs everyday. I'm getting a 3 month trial for $1. After that, the service is $119/year, but I will probably cancel it after my trial is over. Hopefully my credit will be pretty much cleared up by then and I won't feel the need to check it daily. The second thing I'm using is ScoreWatch from myfico.com. The price is $7.95/month, but if you use the code 2005fico, you get 20% off. You have to keep it for 3 months, but after that, you can cancel it whenever you want. ScoreWatch will give you your actual Experian FICO score and will email you anytime it changes, which I think is great! I also spent the extra $14.95 (again, the code works for 20% off) and got my other 2 scores, just so I could compare them to my FAKO scores. It won't update you on these two scores, but you'll probably have a good idea by watching the other score. I will probably buy the FICOs again at the end of my 3 months to see where I stand. There are links in the ScoreWatch for you to dispute things on each CR.HTH
FishOn
I'd second what lyrech said. I use privacyguard to check daily, but they don't have FICO scores. I can't use myfico.com since I put a fraud alert on my account. I do have equifaxes scorewatch program which even sends alerts to my cell phone and I can get a FICO score from them. You could probably use myfico to see where you stand and then PG to monitor for any changes. Champion80
What is the website for PG, it that one the same as BOFA privacy source??
wert
I use Privacy Guard, and have for two years. If you pay for the service instead of just using the free couple of months, you get scores from all three CRAs.I think its worth it. I use to check daily when I was hard at cleaning up my reports, now I check every week just to check it. It's not perfect, but it comes close. Champion80
So during the trial period we only get one score? I just spoke with the Bofa privacysoure customer care # and cancelled my membership with them and asked if they were the same as PG, and they are, both owned by Trilegant. But when I went to the PG website it doesnt say anything about a trial membership, and the rep also said that when you sign up you automatically get put on their highest service that includes all reports with all scores, can anyone verify this? lyrech
I am using the 3 month trial period and I get all three scores AND reports. I'm not sure what wert is referring to. I can pull my report once per day and I get all three updated scores and reports. There is no place to sign up for PG online. You'll have to call them. Tell them you want all three reports and scores. It should be $119/year with a 3 month trial for $1. If they don't offer it, ask if they still have it.Good luck! wert
I guess I didn't make my self clear-sorry.I didn't mean that you didn't get all three scores during the trial period, I meant that to me, it's just easier to sign up and pay for the service instead of doing the trial period, then signing up with a different card. I just sign up, get all three scores, and forget about it for a year. It's Friday, and has been a long week....
Champion80
Well I am happy to announce I have found a link for a two month trial at the $1 but even better.......$12.99 a month , not an annual fee, I just signed up on it, you get the 3B report, 3B scores, and a what if simulator with the Equifax report (if you want it for the other two you have to pay). Here is the link, I know that this was only offered to specific customers and I wasnt one of them, but I was doing some searching and I found another forum and a guy had it on a post, I went to it.Once I filled out all the info. and sumitted it first came back as "we are unable to process your request, please cal XXX", but I just went back on the browser and did it again, and it worked. Sweet. https://www.privacyguard.com/global/scripts/secure/Promo.asp?promote_page_id=Registration&SID=DCBDC264A2AE4B1B12cd79ecef139e17
