Tourniquet416
this is my first time paying my bill. to reenroll, it's asking me now to put my account number and social security number. isn't providing my social security number a little uncalled for? why is it even necessary? i just don't like providing it online. aints68
I don't know about 1st premier but my better half has 2 capital one accounts that are both online. To sign up for them, a ss# had to be provided. It helps them to be sure its you. Anyone could, for example, take a statement out of your box or a clerk in a store could get the bank name and acct# off of your card. They could go on line, sign you up, then apply for a change of address, additional card, etc. Most of these sites are encrypted and secure so it should be safe to send it. They feel that a thief would be less likely to have all your info, so they ask these questions to verify you. Signing up online was the best thing my BH did. It's easy to see what's been charged inbetween statements, east to pay so that he is never late. Hope this helps you
Champion80
You do sometims have to worry about phishing, which uses a replica of a website to get you to enter you info, but I have had first premier for a couple years now and this has happen to me a couple times. boogaloo
I have First Premier online. If you elect to make online payments you will incur a $7.00 service charge each time. It's cheaper if you pay online using your own bank's online bill payment feature.

Tourniquet416
okay, i scheduled a one time payment to first premier through my bank early this morning, and it hasn't gone through yet? how long does it take, because the bill is due on friday?if i schedule monthly payments through my bank, and the balance is zero one month, does the payment still go through? boogaloo
I takes about 1 or 2 days - check with your bank to be safe. I set up my CC payments to go out at least 10 days before they are due - more if there's a holiday close to the due date.Yes, automatic electronic payments will still go through if you have a zero balance. Your bank has no way of knowing what your balance is. It's your responsibility to keep track and stop the automated payments when you get close to paying off the CC. debcakes
I normally pay my First Premier online on a payday Friday morning and by Saturday morning the payment has been credited to my card....it DOES take a few days for it to actually clear my bank, though. aints68
Their fees do seem to be high. This was one of the places I looked at but I decided to pass on them for now and try some other options first because of those fees!
jlouki01
I got a bug and wanted a couple more cards and FP was one of the ones that happened to show up in my mailbox. Boy what a mistake. How about 200+ in fees! and 4.00 to pay online. But it is a 1 time thing. I just wanted it for another positive tradeline. Home depot seems to be giving cards away right now..
