Petunia
Can any of the mortgage gurus give me any advice on books, websites, etc to check out before we buy a house? We aren't looking until June and hopefully we can find a house by end of September. But I have very little knowledge of mortgages and everything involved in buying a house, so I would like to be better informed beforehand. Thanks for any help. firstsource
There are a number of books at Barnes & Noble, if you have one close to you, most of them say about the same thing about the basics, the "dummies" book series I sent to my sister to get her started in the basic term & etc. We will probably go to the bookstore this week and I will look at some titles for you.I would also look at some books on negotiating, as that is mostly what buying a home entails. Lastly, I would suggest that first find the area you would like to live in, then start driving around and meet some of the people there, to make sure you like them as neighbors.
