wdspeedbump Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 can household (retail services) refuse payment then send to "charge-off" to be sold?dw has old account from previous marriage that was supposed to have been paid off after house was sold. we have learned the account is in arrears 6 mos., and when she called to make arrangements to bring it current, she was told "we've already sent it to charge-off and can't do anything about it" (supervisor).we are trying to get a loan on the house. what now?
