Hi--I tried to humbly sneak in and just post at the bottom of an existing thread, but I guess I should introduce myself.

I've been a single mom for 5 years, since my divorce, and the horrible things my ex husband did to my credit :x For about 2 weeks I've been lurking around, and finally got registered....I'm SO glad to find a discussion board with people just like me. My credit problems had me feeling pretty ashamed and alienated for awhile--well, here's to facing up to it all!

I had one question to run by you guys--do you think it's better to leave off the account numbers when you dispute items with the bureaus, or should you put them in? Or doesn't it matter? Alot of the sample letters I've seen don't seem like they include them, and I wondered if there was a reason for that.

Other than that, just starting to follow advice found on this board :D

Welcome Rose! I'm fairly new to the board myself, but I've already seen the positive effects of this forum and the fine folks that contribute to it. No need to feel ashamed anymore! You are arming yourself with information, and (from personal experience) collectors hate that! Best of luck to ya! :D
