dispute with Experian

I'm fairly new and have been helped tremendously with this sight. I have been working on my CR's from the big three for about a month now. Still waiting on 2 reports. However I did receive my CR from Experian today. There are 20 Negative listings on there. I made copies and wrote a dispute letter. It will go in the mail tomorrow. My ? is this. Should I dispute everything at once? If I do and they reject my dispute as frivolous what should I do? I just want this crap fixed. It seems like some of these people make a joke out of this and don't care what it does to anyone. If anyone can help please do. :?: Hopefully I will be able to at least straighten some of this stuff out..................

Personally I would never dispute everything at once, I worked my reports systematically starting with certain items that I knew I would have a good chance of having removed (some of the very old stuff) surprisingly one CA sent me a letter adding in more items than those which were on my reports. I used that as leverage against them in the end to get them out of my life for good. Another word of advice is if you have any public records which you have paid, do not dispute them as paid, dispute them as not mine. From what I have been reading other people have had success with that, once you own the debt and claim that its paid, its hard to go back in time and state that it is not yours. I would also stay completely away from inquiries to start, focusing on collections and public records, then moving onto negative payment histories and inquiries. My personal logic was this; it would be like saying I have never sinned in my life, your more credible to say I have made some mistakes and I own: theses, but theses over here certainly are not mine and are a mistake. It's almost a no-brainer. G/L any way.

I understand what you are saying. I need to slow down. It is just hard to do when there are so many things that are not correct or even close to being correct. for instance, I have a debt that is listed 4 times. OC and 3 CA,s. It is frustrating. How can they do that and get away with it? Can they? It just seems unethical to me. Although from what I understand these people have no ethics. Thanks again.

In your first round its fine to go full blast. You need to see what will just fall off after the first dispute. Then, take a few things every month. Don't dispute the same item within 60 days or you will be labeled "frivilous". You want to give it some time to try again with that item.. alternate the accts. each time disputing something different, or waiting for the dv replies.
