Paid Collection/Chargeoffs

I don't think I would be able to dispute it if I already paid them. I paid them after they went into collections. So, I can't dispute them now, I admitted that they were indeed my bills. Just wanted to know if I could have them deleted now that I've paid them.

Thanks for the site

It doesn't matter if you have paid them....you can still dispute ANYTHING that is listed on your report. Go to the URL that I listed. You'll see what I mean

The CA's are

Fingerhut = colllection account closed, settled less than full balance.

ARC(medical)=Collection Paid

CBE Group=Collection open (account disputed) *This account wasn't opend before I disputed it, they have changed it to open afterwards

Coker Phillips = Collection closed/Paid after chargeoff

First USA Bank = Paid charge off

Jefferson Capital = (Fingerhut Account) Settlement accepted/Paid Collection

SC Student Loan Corp = Paid/collecion account (I have 7 listings for this same account).

This is the only thing affecting my credit are these Paid Chargeoffs/Collections.

No to mention I'm a stay -home-mom and can't build my credit up because I don't have my own income.

Thanks for the help guys..Much Appreciated! :D

Dispute with the credit these accounts a couple at a time. I would probably start with SC student loan corp. and dispute the fact that there are multiple entries for the same account. If you get 6 removed and only have 1 that in itself should help your score.

Then I would continue disputing starting with the oldest. The older the account the harder it usually is to verify. Since the collections are paid the CA's won't bother a lot of time with verification because they are more worried about sucking the blood out of some one else cause they've already got all they can get from you!

But how can I get them to delete the paid chargeoffs if that was never negoiated(sorry for spelling) in the original settlement. It's been over 4 years and for me to go back now and say they should remove it, they would laugh. I already talked to one lady and she stated it can stay on for 7 years and that's how long she intends to keep it on there. So, I am pretty much stuck.

Thanks anyway guys

The only thing you can do is dispute it with the CRAs. I wouldn't too much bother with the OC because that may rattle their feathers and alert them to what you are trying to do. Find a date, an amount that may not be reported right. You have the right to do that. Also, don't forget to use the search tool, as I said before. You may find that someone is in the same situation as you are. You can follow what they did. There are numerous ways to dispute paid accounts and using that "search" button will help you tremendously.....TRUST ME!

I got all my paid charge offs deleted. You just need to be persistent. There is a letter in Kristy's book related to sending an offer of payment when you need to settle fast. The letter explains that you are not admitting to the debt but you need want to offer X$$ to delete.

Get creative you can write a letter to the sort of ...back in 19XX I paid for this account although I was never provided proof this debt was mine. Out of lack of knowledge at the time I paid for the account although I was never provided proof that this debt was mine. Request validation of the debt or proof that you owed that amount. Request that they delete if they dont have proof.

Several years after moving out of state I saw various accounts charged off on my CR. Although I called and requested for utilities to be disconnected they werent and the next tenant did not bother to notify it. I paid for their electricity for three months.

It can be done, be persistent and very creative!!
