antman450
I have disputed some collection accounts with Equifax and of the four, two were deleted, but two were verified. I would like to send DV letters to these CA's and I am wondering how to reference the accounts in my letters. If I look at my credit report, the account numbers are starred out, such as 12345*******. I do not know what the full account numbers are. Does anyone know how I can obtain this information other than calling hte CA directly? I would like to not need to do this. Or, would it be good enough to for them to locate the account if I send them my name, address, and the account number with *** that the CRA reports? Thanks to everyone for your responses. divemedic
When I do it, I just give my name and address. That way, if they have accounts I am not aware of, I am covered. They should be able to find your file with that info.
antman450
Great, So they do not need to know the exact account number. Also, should I send one DV including both accounts or a seperate one for each account. They show up on my CR twice for two different accounts.
