I had a charge off from citifinancial for a auto loan that was taken to court and they did not show up so the judge dismissed the case without prejudice that was in October of 2003 can they re-sue for this acount or what can they do. I received a settlement letter from regional adjustment bureau the other day about the acount but no contact from citifinancial. I am in Georgia

I know this is probably a stupid question, but I am curious to know, if you are sued by a company and the balance is $2000 they will use an attorney right? And if that is true, then they cannot take you to small claims because they are using an attorney? So in this case, my representation for being sued provided by my Pre-paid legal membership will be well worth my monthly investment.. :D

What was the date of the charge-off in Georgia? You may be beyond the SOL and they may not be able to sue you (or if they do, you can use the SOL to win.)
