Champion80
Well my recent pay with deletion has been updated and deleted, happen in 2 days, funny thing though my FAKO on EX went down 6 points, EQ stayed steady at 650, and TU was the only one to jump 27 points to 650, from 633. I am hoping it is just the CHAOS theory on the other 2 reports, it may be possible that my dispute disrupted the process for both EQ and EX because I called both and disputed right after I got the letter of deletion, I couldnt call TU because I was special handling department, so they call you back, just the call back, I asked about the account, and it was already gone. What do you guys and gals think, maybe the fact that I disputed maybe confusing the system, I ran my FAKO's yesterday the TL was still there on all 3, today, there all gone. Maybe because it is being updated today, the score isnt updated yet??
Valkyrine
hiya Champ!!I don't claim to understand credit scoring. I think updates are pretty instantaneous, but I could be sooo wrong. I know from my own reports that, even when an unpaid CO is removed, if its one year old (or older) my score takes a bit of a dive. Chaos theroy at its best. Sears was my oldest and biggest bad boy... it came off and my score dropped a few points on each. Maybe when you check your CRs in the next few days you will see a gain.I've noticed just this last month and a half that:1) score always takes a dive after any neg comes off (all of mine are pretty old)2) when I paid my CC, my score goes back up to pre-delete status plus 1 to 5 points.Hope that makes sense, lol.So basically, I'm in a holding pattern. Your scores are a helluva lot better than mine though... I hope you see a boost soon. And congrats on the delete... you earned it.Val
Champion80
Thanks Val, Yeah, I am hoping its just the Chaos theory!! Like I had said, I didnt get the chance to dispute it with TU before the CA sent the notice of delete, and there was a 27 point boost, another crazy thing, I had a 4 point drop when a $10,500 limit, $3,500 balance was added as an AU on my account. So it gos to show, it looks like the AU definately has an effect. Another interesting piece, I had disputed a Collection on my EQ, they deleted, then a couple months later, it has now been re-inserted on TU, now the interesting part is the CA's name is different, I did a little research, and it is the same exact company, just with a different name and address, so I have been reading all the FCRA and I am getting a headache trying to find out if they some how violated!! Sultan
I wish I knew the straightforward answer for you,I would think a deletion should raise your score.I know in the past it has mine, and I checked the scores before (with in a couple of days) and right after I received the email notification of completion of the investigation. Sounds like they're going to continue rising and your now on the right track. G/L
DivineDiva
What are FAKOs, how are they different from FICOs and how do I obtain FAKOs.
Champion80
FICO's are the scores 75% of lenders use to review your credit history, got to my FICO.com for some good detail on the real FICO's. If you are willing to pay about $30 right now, you can get all three reports and all 3 scores, use the discount code 2005Fico, that should give you a 20% discount. When you pull these scores, like I said, they are the actull scores lenders see.FAKO's are just other computing systems that were created I believe to give us some type of a score, but the calculations are not exactly the same that the FICO one uses. But they do give you a general idea where you are at score wise, I think most here would tell you FAKO's are usually lower than the actuall FICO, but do not take my word for it. I would also use the search option above if you want more education, there have been plenty of previous questions about the differences. But here is a really good link for a company called Privacy Guard, you get a 2 month trial for $1, and after the two months if you keep it, its $12.99 a month, so far this is the best one I have found so far, you not only get all 3 CR side by side, you get all 3 FAKO scores, and you can pull it daily. Which is good to have while you are gettting all the changes made.https://www.privacyguard.com/global/scripts/secure/Promo.asp?promote_page_id=Registration&SID=DCBDC264A2AE4B1B12cd79ecef139e17
