dragon6473
2 weeks ago, we went to Best Buy to take advantage of their 18 months 0 interest to buy our Whirlpool washer and dryer on the Best Buy card. Got approved instantly for $3k at the customer service section and being misled by the employee about applying for the Household Bank credit card in order to get the $25 BB gift card. We just wanted to get the BB card to get our washer and dryer. We didn't want to apply for a HH Bank CC. The employee told us that if we give permission to allow HH bank to send us credit card offers, we will get the $25 gift card. Guess what? Well, that was not the case. Instead, HH bank ran my Equifax credit report last week and approved me for a HH Platinum Mastercard for a $3k limit, 6 months 3.9% for purchase and BT and a ridiculous prime PLUS 13.99% after the intro period. I called HH today and told them that we were midlead by Best Buy employee to apply for a HH when we did not have any intention to get a HH credit card. I was asked to call back on Monday because customer service doesn't work on weekends. I would like to know if anyone out there has the same problem, applying for Best Buy card, and being mislead about the $25 BB gift card with HH bank?So anyway, I'm going to call on Monday and speak to HH customer service regarding acceptance of the card but with my terms of conditions. Has anyone has any luck dealing with HH to get a higher limit and a lower fixed rate instead of a high variable rate? Thanks.
