okdude Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 I have a JDB Palisades report on my CRs, but the OC is not in the CRs.Is there a way to try and pay the OC and then have the JDB/CA remove the account in its entirety from the CRs, or is it too late to pay the OC? Would JDB/CA refuse to remove account stating that I paid the OC too late? Thanks

DocDon Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 JDB's buy the debts from the OC. When this happens, the OC sells all rights to the account. You cannot negotiate with the OC after they sell it off.If the account is still owned by the OC, and they use a third-party CA, then you can negotiate with the OC directly. Also remember that JDB's buy bad debts for pennies on the dollar and then extort huge profits from consumers.
