I should have saved the plastic they sent me so I could melt it down and form a condom for when Plains Commerce decided to fu** me. This is DH's CR before Plains Commerce told me they "were fixing things as we speak...":

Credit Grantor Contact Information

And then it has a listing off month to month payment history as "Bad Debt/Collection"

And this is what it looks like now:

Account Number Not on record

Account Type Revolving

Credit Limit

(High Credit)

$1,413

Minimum Monthly Payment (Terms) $18

Date Opened June, 2002

Date of Last Activity March, 2004

Last Report on February, 2005

Balance Current status Past Due Amount

$599 Bad debt/collection $198

And then it has a listing of month to month payment history as "OK/Unknown".

They freaking reaged the debt and now claim he is even further behind on his "payments". Total damage done? Lost two points because I called EQ to complain and another five this morning when PC "fixed" things for a grand total loss of seven points in less than 24 hours. Damn I'm doing good.

Okay, I've calmed down a little. What type of letter should I send to Plains Commerce this time?

The gist of it is they are reporting that the account still has a balance owing and currently late on even though I accepted a settlement (and paid) a year ago and now they have reaged the debt and aren't even reporting that the debt is in dispute.

Use pieces of sample letters from top of this page to fit what you are wanting to accomplish. Include the proper sections of the applicable laws.

Your goal is to have the TL reported correctly. But, due to their incorrect reporting, you demand total deletion now. In short, you want them to know you are aware of the laws and that they are liable to you for their violations. Therefore, if they want you to go away, they must agree to delete the TL. Include copies of all evidence to prove your claim. Then wait to see their response.
