DO YOU STILL GET A UPDATED REPORT ?

I did my first round of disputes online . On the online dispute report it says we will notify you by email ( if you chose ) when a dispute is resolved , and you have 4 days after that to look at it ( EX ) .

My questions are :

1. Since I ordered the reports online from the websites of EX , TU It says I only have access for 30 days to view it on their site . Do they still have to send me a paper copy of an updated report in the mail ? Or do they just have to update it online ? and how about after my 30 days ? Do they have to send a paper copy then ?

2. TU has not updated the online report yet at all , not even to say these items are being investigated , its the exact same report as day one. The csr told me , oh they do it every 15 days.....Well its been 20 and still no update , Is it a violation not to put it as in dispute even on the online report ? My EX online report has everything I disputed listed as Under Investigation.

3. Do I just wait it out and keep printed copies showing they never updated the report online to say in dispute ?

I hope I am making sense , my mind is racing and im not real good at this yet , so my questions may be jumbled...

Also , Since I got my CR for free ( The one a year free for EQ online and EX , I called them ) . Does that give them 45 + 5 days to resolve a dispute instead of the 30+5 ? I claimed denied credit for TU report online , so that should still be 30 days , right ?

If it is 45 days , should I just wait till my month of free online is over and buy a CR ? If I buy it they have to investigate by the 30 days , right ?

The time to investigate is still just 30 days. They only get another 15 if you provide them with additional information to support your dispute during those 30 days.

Don't let those pin-heads try to fool you into thinking the FACT Act upped it to 45. That is simply not true. In the section that mentions 45 days, the plain language of it is only stating that at no time can an investigation take longer than 45 days total. Prior to this new addition to the law, the CRAs would claim an extra 15 days multiple times for the same investigation. This section was designed to close that door on them.

Thanks. I thought ( well actually some rep from the cra told me , I should know better than to listen to them ) That since I got my report for free thru some once a year thing that they got 45 days to investigate not 30. I guess they were trying to throw me off.....

NIce to know they only get 30 . I would have just kept waiting .

I will wait for them to send me my updated report , but will go ahead and get a paper trail moving now.

Thanks :D
