BudgetMan
I DV'd Sherman Acquisitions and got no response. Finally, one of their "lawyers" sent me another letter stating the supposed debt. It said I had 30 days to despute. Even though I had already disputed the debt when they sent the first letter! Anway, I DV'd the law office too.. No response. It's been over 90 days and no one has validated anything. Yet, they still continue to report to the Credit Bureaus. I desputed and the Bureaus verified. How can they keep verifying when I haven't received any proof from the CA? Is continuing to report a collection account considered an attempt to colelct on a debt. Is this a violation if they have not validated?
creditdodger
Keep your paperwork, send everything CMRRR. Each DV that is ignored is a violation, as well as each verification with the CRA's after your dispute. Let them pile up the violations and go get 'em.
