J Miller Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 I just read something a few posts down about a "split file". What is a split file??I ran mine and my wife's report last night and during the security questions at EX it showed one of our loans. Funny thing is, it was not on the report in front of us and I was missing two paid Auto Loans from 1994 and 1996! Is that what a split is? Jesus H Chr**t I'm getting tired of this sh*t with reporting agencies...-J
divemedic Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 They are probably gone cuz they fell off. The 2 loans are kind of old
miracle Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 A split file is basically when your file splits in two. There are two files instead of one. Can cause confusion and lower your scores. They are caused, from what I understand, too much info in your report. Their system can't handle all of the info so it splits. There are other reasons as well.. Try searching "Split File" and I bet you will find plenty of goodies on Split Files. Good Luck! -Jenn
