workinninetofive
I sent NCO an ITS letter. They ignored my dv and started reporting to the CRA's. I recieved a letter from a law firm representing them. They deleted it immediately. So, they will back off but you have to be willing to sue them. My first letter outlining their violations did nothing. You have to get forceful. Threaten to sue them and follow through.

workinninetofive
Not always. I threatened to complain to the FTC.... they dropped off EQ and started reporting to EX & TU. I had prepare a basis for a lawsuit for them to quit.. and I did have every intention on filing it.
devil21
Actually thats their standard MO. When that happens, simply dispute as Not Mine with the CRAs and they will not verify and fall of there too.

devil21
They verified even after you sent your letter? Hmm, methinks you ran into a nasty person b/c thats the norm for NCO. Delete off the CRA they are reporting to, wait a month or two then report newly to the others. Dispute as not mine and they won't verify. Not sure why you had such difficulty with them.
