Striker
Hello Everyone,I am new here and I have benefited a lot thanks to everyone's posts.I sent in a DV to CBCS a couple of weeks ago for a $280 collection from MCI. It was only on Experian. Yesterday I was so happy to see it removed!Today I check my PG and its back under MCI's name and in TU! I am so upset...Any suggestions? How was it removed so fast and then placed in TU the next day?Am I now dealing with an OC and not CA? Do I send the OC a DV letter? Thanks in advance,SAM
willingtocope
I hate to see anyone with 0 replies, so let me ask a few questions...Is it listed the same on TU as it was on EX...both under MCI? Is there an entry for a CA on either? Same account number, same balance?
Striker
On EX it was listed under CBCS with OC MCI. In TU it is listed only under OC MCI. Same balance and I am not sure about account number because I am going off of PG and they didn't list the account number.I can pull a TU report if you think its needed. Thanks for replying SAM
willingtocope
Okay, then it sounds like CBCS was either unable or unwillingly to spend the time to validate and so handed it back to MCI. (Remember, there are CAs that "contract" with OC to do their hassling...if they don't get anywhere, they'll return it to the OC).So...I would guess that yes, it is back with the OC and if you have the money you can call them to negotiate a settlement. And, it would appear that MCI reports to TU...If you don't have the money, then just hang on...there will be another CA after you before long, and you can do the DV thing all over again...
