Response (A BOWDEN) - 04/01/2005 07:34 AM Dear Khalilah Junior-

We have reviewed your concerns regarding your personal credit file. We have located 2 accounts in your personal information that were placed with outside collection agencies. The first account, , was for a pager that was opened August 2, 1999. We have requested this account be deleted from your personal credit file as there was no usage. In researching the second account, we have identified that this was for land line service. The balance due on the account is $129.57. The phone number attached to the account was. The account was opened May 31, 2000 and remained opened for 3 years. The last mailing address on the account was . If you need bill copies mailed to you they are available. If you are still disputing that the account belongs to you, you will need to contact our fraud department at .

We want to apologize for any misinformation that may have been given by Nationwide Credit. Your accounts were charged-off as a bad debt and subsequently ALLTEL updated your personal credit file to reflect as such. Therefore, NationWide Credit cannot remove or offer the removal of the adverse remark. Please be ensured that we have notified the proper management at NationWide Credit to speak with the representatives in question.

Once the balance is paid in full ALLTEL will send an electronic request to the three major credit bureaus to reflect the above account as paid in full. For information regarding the length that the information will remain on your personal credit file, you will need to contact the credit bureaus.

To Whom It May Concern:

The world thrives on communication today, which is why I'm so upset with the experience at Alltel Telecomunications, a situation that's very frustrating. Quite honestly, I'm annoyed with this issue. Just for the record, here's my telephone information: .

Okay, i had a credit report pulled 3/12/05 and noticed a collectionf rom Alltel. when i call alltel they tell me this account has been sold to Nationwide credit which is a collection agency and to call them. i call nationwide to ask about this collection and why i was never notified, and that this account was not mine. they told me to call alltel back, b/c they would handle this. i called alltel back and they informed me that this is a wireless account. i told them i never had wireless service with alltel. they kept telling me that this was an wireless account and if i had problems with it to call nationwide back and dispute as never having wirelss service. nationwide then tells me to fax over a letter telling them the account was not mine along with a police report for fraud. i told them that alltel told me to call them to dispute as not ever having wirless serive in which i did and the account would go back to alltel, they will research and if not wirelss account it would be removed from my credit reports. my thing is how can a sold collection account be sent back to the orgional creditor when alltel told me they no longer handled the account once it was sold. i told both companies that i never had a wireless account, but they swore i did. how does either company not know what the other has or what kind of account this is. i did send a letter to alltel viam mail 2/28, but have not heard anything from them in which the time is not up yet for that, but wouldn't when i call alltel see that i've sent a letter about this situation, so when i call to inquire about the account no one knows anything.

i'm not understanding what's going on here, but am very upset about this account ruining my credit and would like to get the matter resolved asap. i was never notifed of from this company or the collection agency on this matter. how does that work? how can alltel tel me that the collection agency reported to the bureau's and not them and the collection agency says vs. My reports reflect alltel communications as two different cellular trade lines. i just figured that comeing through planet feed back that i would get some assistance from a upper level. Also i have been waiting on 2 different people to call me back from Alltel in which i have not recieved a call back since i've called on 3/15/05. i spoke to 2 different reps who were to call me back after speaking to nationwide credit.

i will give it more time to see what the results are, but wanted this to go to someone in a more executive level to know how different departments are handling different matters.

i am trying my best to keep positve accurate accounts on my credit reports, and if i was notified of this matter it would have been taken care before ever going to collection, but i've never had a wireless account with your company.

I'm not surprised, and do you know why? I've been very dissatisfied with your company in the past. Despite this problem, I might continue using your company for telephone service. I'm inclined to tell other people about this, just so they know what they're up against.

Here's what I'd like to see happen: i would like Alltel/natonwide to view and delete negative trade lines from my credit reports once they have fixed the error that's in their system and if i owe the company to inform me with the cance to pay b4 reports to the bureau's, but as i've said b4 i have never been notified and this is an error in their system.

I hope you get back to me soon. In this age of modern communication, seemingly simple things should not go unresolved.

First thing, you need to edit that post and remove your address and phone number..nothing is sacred on the internet.

Second, if you established that phone service for your mom, your still responsible for the charges regardless if you lived there or not, or who paid the bill. If you did not establish that service and did not give your mom permission to, then your aren't responsible and need to claim it as fraud.

In the response to your letter it sounds as if they cleared up the whole wireless/landline confusion with the CA. You can try to offer the OC a PFD and give them a big sob story, tell them the phone was for your mother, you didn't realize there was an outstanding bill..blah, blah, blah. Just don't tell them your looking for a mortgage. How old is this debt?

I'm sorry about that. i thought about the edit thing after i sent it.

The debt now is about 3 or 4 months old charged off on my reports causing my scores to drop. they said the acount was opened in 2000

Could i not ask them for a pay for delete or update as paid never late.

Would they go after my mom if i still claimed fraud?
