ThePeacock
Got approved w/ 570 Equifax for the guest card. Figured I wouldn't getthe Visa. But it's still cool. $200 limit. Also got the Paypal Platinum Visa (Providian), also pulling that horrible EQ score w/ $1,000 limit.
score booster
Are you sure providian pulled eq? I thought they usually pulled exp.
ThePeacock
You know, I checked again, and it wasn't Equifax, it was Transunion. But the score was still 570.

ThePeacock
No anual fee, or any of those nifty things that come with Apire, First Premier, Etc. Odd thing is, I applied through Providian direct, and got denied. Applied for the Paypal one, and wa la! Go figure. Interest rate is high but I'm sure over time that can be remedied. jq26
Aside from balance transfers, the interest rate isn't really that important IMO. My understanding of the road to credit repair is to pay balances in full or leave a small (<$20) balance on the card. So even on high rate cards, the interest accrued is either 0 or close to it, no? Again, balance transers should be at the lowest possible rate, so that is a totally different situation.Congrats on the Paypal Platinum card Peacock! ThePeacock
I 100% agree. What's the point of doing all this if you're just gonna get right back in the trap that brought you here. Balance transfer is 0% for 6 months and purchases is 0% for 6 months.
