dfwgal
I got turned down online with Household a minute ago. I have a 615 on EQ so I guess that is not high enough. Darnit...I reallly wanted a car loan. Bummed!!!
Valkyrine
Sorry to hear that, gal. That sucks.Have you tried lendingtree.com?? I got a car loan through them a few years ago; the rates weren't great, but they were better than the dealership offered me.
DocDon
Not sure if they changed the guidelines, but 640 was the magic number you wanted to hit before venturing out for a loan.Sure, you may be able to get one... but then you run the risk of being stuck with a high APR and possibly limited ways to refi at a lower rate...I'd suggest continuing to work on your scores and keeping your current credit squeaky clean - the credit will come in time. workinninetofive
If you need a car loan desperately, I would apply at a CU. I've known many to get loans with lower scores. If you just want the car.. I would hold off. Big diff between wanting & needing.
DocPC
I got approved by HH, but turned down by Cap1. Score was 803, reason? Too many recent inq's.
score booster
Just out of curiosity, Doc PC, how many recent inquiries does it take to prompt a denial with an 803? (If you don't mind my asking)
DocPC
Just out of curiosity, Doc PC, how many recent inquiries does it take to prompt a denial with an 803?
