geterdone
My dad loaned me some money on two of his credit cards because the interest was low. (0% for 12 months on one and 3.99% on entire balance on the other). I am paying way over the minimum each month so that I can get these paid off sooner. Should I have him add me as an AU on these accounts so that these payments that I am making will at least help my credit some or will the balances etc. hurt me more? If he does add me as an AU, my credit won’t hurt his score at all will it?
DocDon
Things to know about AU:You're looking for low balances to credit limit (between 7% and no higher than 30%).You want positive credit history.AU's are not liable for the debt, so make sure the customer service rep doesn't not try to make you joint on the account. Not all creditors report AU's to all the CRA's.OC's that report AU's only report that info to the AU's credit report. The AU's credit is not merged with the primary cardholder's credit.
