snotrag
I have drafted a Limited C&D (based in part on the DV available on this site) to restrict all communications to writing - as the phone calls are just annoying - and I am looking for a phrase to add to my letter that leaves the door open for me to dispute later. Maybe along the lines of "i reserve the right to dispute this debt" or "this should not be construed as a refusal to pay or an acknowledgement of debt." I can't seem to come up with anything that sounds professional, ya know, it just doesn't flow right.I want to cover all my bases, and I don't want the CA to be able to come back to me (in court, maybe) and say that I acknowledged the debt.Any ideas would be appreciated. willingtocope
You've got the right wording...if you haven't already, look at the letter at:http://www.creditinfocenter.com/forms/sampleletter9.shtml...you needn't struggle to hard with "sounding professional" as long as you get the right words in. After all, if it ever comes to court, you do need to show that you're a "least sophisticated consumer"...
divemedic
I have thought about this and I think it is better to put a line in your DV that says "all telephone calls to my home phone are recorded"
willingtocope
How about "...may be recorded for quality purposes...."
