This might be a silly question, put do I have to wait 30 + 5 business days from when they received to send them my next CMRRR telling them to delete?I didn't really see that clarified and want to be sure that I'm not jumping the gun. Methuss Posted April 11, 2005 Report Share Posted April 11, 2005 Don't call (yet). The CRAs are thinking they get 45 days now because of some wording in the newly revised FCRA. They are, of course, quite wrong. It is only 45 days IF you send them more evidence supporting your claim during the first 30 days.As I said in another thread, the CRAs are getting clobbered with about a 300% increase in disputes since the free reports came about. They are alooking for any excuse they can to delay and deprive people of their rights to have things remove which are inaccurate.If you want to rattle their tree, send them a violation notice by CMRRR that they are past the 30 day timeperiod and they must now remove it. I also thought that I had 30 + 5 days for them to respond. My strategy now is to send out a letter CMRRR to them telling them that since they never responded they must delete, and I am also thinking of sending them copies of the letters that I was going to send to the FTC and the AG of Pa.
