cburress Posted April 11, 2005 Report Share Posted April 11, 2005 Are They Allowed to do a Inquiry on my report WithOUT my permision???I am fighting this stupid bank that has a 9 yr old debt on my credit report and found MANY wrong things. Is this something to add to the list when I call to fight with themI have had NO CONTACT at all with these people since 1996They did an inquiry on my report on 7/24/2003Is this legal??????If it is wrong what do I need to do to bring it to thier attention? If you have and they have not replied then they shouldn't be pulling your report as that is considered collection activity..If you haven't sent a DV letter then yes... they are considered to have an account with you can have permissible purpose.
