Chancy949
Who say that you MUST report because its the only way to give a fair account of what a debtor MIGHT do in the future. That by not reporting doesn't give a lender a fair background. That is complete BS!!! Here is an example.....I pay PERFECT on my rent for 2 years.... NEVER LATE NO PROBLEMS... is that reported??? NO!!!BUT if I don't give a 30 days notice...... the balance for that month is sent to a collection agency and IT IS REPORTED!!! how the HELL IS THAT fair??Did this happen to me?? No, not in this way...its just and example. We also had a car loan that was paid off perfect payment.... Was it reported??? NO! but i'm sure if we had it repoed it would be!!!!You say that's up to the lender, and the rent can't be reported. Well I say then it DOESN"T show an accurate background and your argument is VOID.What a crock of SH&T. You all complain about debtors, but if it wasn't for people not paying you wouldn't have a job. GET OVER IT and work with people and maybe you'd stop getting sued.RANT OVER. I need to stop going to the zoo. It just pisses me off.

tripeclipse
Seriously, these collectors have a "GOD" complex. Usually this means that they are just as "BAD" as the rest of us but they are not human enough to admit it.
rodeomom
BLECH TO CA'S & TO CHANCEY I agree totally chancey, answered an unknown last nite, havent had one for quite a bit. was a CA I had not ever heard of claiming to have an acct. of mine. Chancy949
You know what. I would have more respect for collectors if the system was fair. Its not fair, but they try to tell you it is!The credit reporting system is messed up! Chase is a perfect example! 3 child support judgements and she's never birthed a baby! DANG! OH but that was just an error..........Dispute.... VERIFIED!!........dispute VERIFIED AGAIN!!!!!!OH and I disputed two accounts on DH's last month....... Experian sent me a notice saying one "remains" but wait what is this...........???AFIN......STILL PENDING???? thought the law said it had to be deleted if they didn't verify in 30 days! WAIT IT GETS BETTER!!! Project completion date....5/1/05!! HOLLY S$(T! did they just give themselves an extra THIRTY DAYS???????GRRRRRRRRRR And they wonder why there is such a backlash! ITS CALLED KARMA!!!! YEAH YOU!! Collector lurking this board. I KNOW you are reading this. DUMB A$$.

divemedic
You mean like the TL that was put on my reports by Verizon? I finally got it deleted, but not before Bof A saw it. BofA cancelled my CC and raised my rate to about 28% on the $8900 I have charged on the card. They say even though the negative tradeline was a mistake, my util% is too high to open the account and change my rate back to the 9.9% it was, but the funny thing is all of my other CC's have a $0 balance. Any excuse to charge me more money. The system is totally unfair.
AlInLI
They say even though the negative tradeline was a mistake, my util% is too high to open the account and change my rate back to the 9.9% it was ...The system is totally unfair. It is - to them.Next time you get one of those "0% for 6 months for transfered balances" offers, if you can get someone at BofA on the phone, tell them that they have 2 choices - a written notification to you, within 5 business days, that your interest rate is 5% (or whatever you pick), or you're transferring the entire balance to xyz credit (whoever is making the offer). Tell them who the competition is - if they look, or if they know what's going on in their industry, they'll know that the offer you're claiming you got is currently being made by the company you claim you got it from.5% interest is a lot better for them than no interest at all. And, if they say no, or you don't get the notice within the time you allowed, transfer your debt to the new offer.Heads you win, tails you win. You're right - it's totally unfair. all of my other CC'sYou really shouldn't have a slew of open credit accounts, even if you want the utilization percentage to be low. I hope "all" didn't mean all that many.
divemedic
It isn't that easy. Because I have an $8900 balance, even though it is the only card I have with a balance, it is still 49% util. I can't find a card that will approve me, so I am stuck. If I could have transferred to a lower card, I would have done so months ago. This is costing me $150 a month in interest. AlInLI
Do you have enough money in a bank for a secured loan to pay off the CC balance?Do you have a good enough rating to get an unsecured loan from your bank? Can you find a bank that would give you an $8900 loan if you transferred all your funds to an account with them?Just a few ideas that would cost a lot less than 28%. divemedic
I tried, no dice. My current plan is to pay them at least $500 per month until I get it down to about $7000. That will make my util about 40%. Hopefully that will increase my scores enough so I can get a lower rate card. One thing killig me is my EQ score of 626. I still don't know why it is so low.A paid collection from 4 years ago, no lates, no negatives, 49% util. My GF has a score of 603 and she has 3 chargeoffs and 4 unpaid collections reporting. How fair is that?
divemedic
What makes me so mad is that I have sent $12,000 to my CC's (not including interest) in the last year, so I could get debt free. My util has gone from 104% to 49%. My score? Well, it is actually 20 points lower than it was. When I think of all the things I could have bought with that kind of money, it makes me mad. I have done the "right thing" and paid my bills. My GF hasn't, yet her score is only 23 points behind me.What is the point to paying?
AlInLI
What is the point to paying?Well ... you know the answer to that one, but it does make you kind of wonder sometimes, doesn't it? <- Maybe that's why?
