Trying*Hard
In 2002, I was served with papers that Capital One was suing me for 694.00 for chargeoff, but the courthouse that I was suppose to show up at was 4 hrs away, needless to say I didn't go and they won, is this reasonable to expect me to go to court 4 hrs away, could this be vacated. rodeomom
My understanding is they must sue you in teh county that you reside in at the time of suit.sounds like you may want to search/read on vacating the judgement.Did you ever live in teh county that judgement was obtained in?I would request copy of info from courthouse and compare it with what you have in your possession and what you know to be true, not what they may have elected to have told or filed with the courts.good luck
