jaye191
I am trying to rebuild my credit and was think about applying for a gas card. How good does you score have to be in order to get approved for a gas card and which is the easiest one to get. If not a gas card, what is another easy way to rebuild my credit. rising_score
I am not familar with the gas cards, but I can tell you I was recently approved for an Orchard Bank Mastercard and a Target Guest Card with my low scores (see below). This site was helpful to me in finding out what scores you need for which cards:http://www.whogavemecredit.com/Good Luck!
Niner849
My DH applied for and got the Chevron card. I believe his score was some where in the 600 range, and he had quite a few negs on his report, (including a judgement and repo). He's had it for about a year now.The CL is about $300.00. He got it for mainly the same purpose, to rebuild his credit, and get a positive open tradeline which helped us to purchase a home.
chelleshocked
Chevron card is great! I got one 2 years ago to help with my credit. I figured since it is a gas card at least I won't go maxing it out as fast. And we never have. We started at $300 credit, then they raised it to $400, as of this month our limit is $1000 and we only have about $100 charged on it (we pay it off almost completely every month.)
