Flipper762
Advice needed ASAP. I had a account with Providian that was charged off back in 02/2000. I have tried DV letters and disputes with the CRA with no results. My question is should I pay these fools to clear it off my CR or just leave it alone. My main concern is having it listed it as a paid charge off and it tanking my score. Keep in mind the SOL in Louisiana on revolving accounts is three years and the balance is less than $600.00. And will the lender require me to pay this before going to close?
tripeclipse
That might be a line that you could try a rapid rescore. The range is 20-50 dollars depending on what your broker or lender charges. That would be the easiest thing I would do in your situation.
kevin3344
If you're close to closing like I am (tomorrow), you can ask your lender if they require you to pay it off or not. Mine did not require me to pay for anything that was 2+ years ago. Some do, some don't so you might want to ask them.________Live sex Edited September 9, 2011 by kevin3344
firstsource
I would confirm what Kevin has experienced. Let the lender tell you what they require you to do. If you do anything before closing, you will lower your scores.Charles
kevin3344
Hi Charles, good to hear from you. By the way, I will be leaving a very NICE compliment for you on the board tomorrow. Soon after I guess we can talk about working on the refi (6-12 months out?)________red headed Webcam Edited September 9, 2011 by kevin3344
