can'tfindthesunshine
I sent a refusal of arbitration letter and I got a response that a case coordinator had been assigned to the case. Today, one week later, I recieved a letter from the NAF saying a Stay Notice had been filed. I went to the NAF forum, I believe this is a little bit of good news? I did write a letter to the lawyer handling the case and made an offer of sttlement, 40% of the original amount owed and explained the hardships going on here to a small degree. Can anyone tell me what I might expect next???
gdouglaslee
Can anyone tell me what I might expect next???Since you acknowledged the debt and offered to pay they will probably skip arbitration and go straight to court for judgment. can'tfindthesunshine
The lawyers are in GA. I'm in NY. The client is in MN. Wouldn't it be more senseable to settle rather than go through sueing here in NY. Wouldn't they have to hire yet another attorney here for that process?
