Cease and Desist and a valadation was sent in return

I sent a CA a C&D like one from the book. I changed it up a bit, but followed the form exactly. I sent the C&D never a DV since I wanted to work with the OC (hospital). I received back a attempted validation of the debt.

My letter stated to cease all communication...and any adverse action placed on my CR's , blah, blah, blah. I said I did not desire to work with a CA and would contact the OC instead.

I sent the letter the beginning of this month. In todays mail I receive a valadation of the debt.

This CA writes in their letter" thank you for disputing the accuracy of our records ...(this in response to a C&D) They go on to say they they have updated their records to reflect my dispute.

This makes no sense. They never have shown the acct updated with the CRA's, nor did I ever send DV.

I have also sent a CRRR to the OC with no response. No green card...no nothing so far. I'm a bit stumped

So should I assume this is their one contact?

Can you please point me in which step to take next? I have looked through the book I received today however, I can find nothing that covers this situation.
