Revco
I disputed an item for Cbuasears/Risk Management with Experian online about six months ago. No good that did me (don't do that, BTW)...I got a letter back that said "Item Remains" and provided no additional details. I let it be for a little while as I was moving and picked it back up in early March. Sent them a letter saying I disagree with their previous results - comes back "Matter was previously investigated". Sent another letter right away disputing the results - once again "Item previously investigated." I was a little ticked and started mentioning FCRA and wrote that I had "noticed the date of last activity has been changing every month" (as others here have reported and are taking action on) and that the dates of deliquency were being misreported. Today I got a response "The following was not found: Cbusasears" Item was fully deleted from my report. The mere mention of a violation of the FCRA apparently made them delete the evidence. Admittedly, the item was scheduled for deletion in like three months (after 7 yrs + 180 days) but it looks like they got scared of me. Only one more item from Experian (a little tricky but the CA's a tard and is so tangled in my weave right now) and one item from Equifax (got them on the hook for re-aging)...and I'm DONE with this battle!!! Wahooo!!!
