Bluebyu
I just got a post card from PG....It says they are making some changes to the web site..You will still have unlimited access to your credit report, but the information contained in your report will be updated monthly instead of daily....Time to cancel PG..... DocPC
Reading all the other boards, it seems there is a mass exodus from PG. I wonder when they are going to change MCK...
Wyndo
I didn't get a postcard, but I just posted a message about this very thing. I was unable to access my credit report this morning, so I email them. The reply I got back said the same thing. What's worse is, I thought maybe I had just ran out of time, so I signed up again. What I found is, they're now charging $155 per year, and it used to be $89 per year (when I signed up last January).I'd keep it for $155 if it was daily. But not monthly. I might as well just pull my reports directly, as needed. I'm calling to cancel, right now.
adale
just droped mine, they gave me some line of BS about being them only way to "Soft Pull" your credit. I informed him his was full of it and that i wanted it cancled right then.
breathing_easier
Just to let everyone know that PG says they will still be providing daily alerts to any changes in a report. Still, though, I like to go into the report to see exactly how it is reporting and to see how it has affected my FICO score. I'd be interested to know just how many people cancelled PG and signed up with MCK today.
Tarheel Jack
Another cancellation here...Signed on with MCK 5 minutes later. My concern is that since it looks like both are under the Trilegiant umbrella, I'm wondering if/when the other shoe is going to drop on MCK.TJ

nativechild48
Glad I dropped it before the trial period ended. Anyone other subscriptions that is just as good (before PG got bad) out there?
breathing_easier
Anyone other subscriptions that is just as good (before PG got bad) out there?Yes, MyCreditKeeper is identical to PG (run by the same company) and still allows daily pulls. First month is free, $9.99 thereafter.
boogaloo
I just signed up for MCK - couldn't pull an online report. I have to wait to get some kind of access code in the mail.Is this something new?
credit-nightmare
When I first joined PG I had to wait for an access code in the mail , but I called the next day and they gave it to me over the phone to use right away , so MCK may do the same. jq26
boogaloo-I joined credit keeper two weeks ago. I had to wait for my access code in the mail before I could log on. You only have to do it once. Its just another identity verification step- they seem to be tightening up security after the recent information thefts at ChoicePoint, LexisNexus, etc.
boogaloo
Thanks. I'll give them a call later and see if they'll give me the code over the phone.
bellatragedia
http://debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27859&start=30I was just talking about this damn thing with PG in the above thread.CK gave me the screen about waiting to login for my access code, so being impatient as usual, I called them and answered security questions over the phone to get it. I thought it might be because of my fraud alert, I guess it's not. DH didn't get this when I signed him up a couple of weeks ago.I love how random all these services are. credit-nightmare
I cancelled PG and tried to sign up with MCK ( using the same debit card I used with PG ) but it wouldn't let me. I said I already had an account with them so I called cust . service and they said since it is the same company as PG just "better " ( her words ) it said I already had an account . So even though my account is cancelled with PG , I will have to wait 30 days to sign up with MCK using the same CC.
