lumburg Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 Thanks for all the great help so far to all the people here, this has been great!I ordered my credit repoerts from all three agencies online. I am tryiing to call but none of them will let me through with out a report number but I don't have one. This makes no sense to me since I ordered them through each ones respective websites although they do all out source this functionality. Does anyone have numbers to the CRAs that will allow me to talk to an actual person? Thanks
bellatragedia Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 If you ordered the reports by going to each CRA's website (i.e. www.equifax.com) then you will have a confirmation number or file number on your report. They will not talk to you on the phone without it. TU doesn't require the file number for online disputing, I don't know about on the phone with them, but I believe they ask me for it.If you didn't go to each individual website and order each one, then you won't have the #'s. You said:I ordered them through each ones respective websites although they do all out source this functionality which sounds like you didn't get each one from the actual site for each one.
lumburg Posted April 28, 2005 Author Report Posted April 28, 2005 I literally went to equifax.com etc etc and slected to purchase credit report. When I did this, each one took me to a different website to actually order the report. Equifax is the only one of the three that gave me a 'confirmation number' and I have spoken to them. The other 2 did not. I went back a couple of days ago to the transunion.com etc etc to double check and make sure that I am not losing my mind (well, anymore than I have) and confirmed that these sites redirected me to somewhere else. Any ideas? Thanks!!!
bellatragedia Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 Did you order a single report or some form of a combo type report? That's (combo) the only situation I can think of where it might outsource your report slightly.
lumburg Posted April 28, 2005 Author Report Posted April 28, 2005 I had done a combination report about 3 weeks ago and realized it was kind of useless for disputing stuff. I feel stuck here. I can dispute online with a TransUnion and Equifax but I can not get the Eqperian to work no matter what I do. Stuck!
bellatragedia Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 Have you had a denial for credit? Just go to www.experian.com/reportaccess and enter that info in and then you can pull up a free online report.Alternately, if your state is active yet for the FACT Act, go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com/ and get your free one from EX.HTH BTW I would highly recommend doing CMRRR disputes with EX versus online FYI.
