Carlos
I think that the credit repair section, while beneficial, is quite large and amorphous. I see four overall phases with any of the last three providing relief from the credit nightmares on your report. 1) General Info/Research/prepartion2) DV3) ITS4) Going to courtI think that it could be benificial to break up the credit repair into these phases to prvide better continuity between the phases and allow a reader to scroll through the steps with plenty of content specific info available at their finger tips within each phase.Just a thought....what do you think??? miracle
Carlos- The site has a DV forum and an ITS/Court Forum called "Is there a lawyer in the house?" This forum seems as though it is mostly general info/ research, but some do ask other questions as well.. I don't mind the way things are now, but that is just me When I am usually looking for an answer, I don't generally scroll through the forums I just use the search key and find it that way because so much great info is within all of the forums. rodeomom
I would have to agree with Miracle on this one
rmuse00
Since I still consider myself a newbie I agree with Miracle & rodeomom. Based on where i am at with each TL I start out looking in the appropriate sections "Collections" if I am dv'ing a CA, Credit Bureaus, if I am having trouble with one of the CRA's, and Credit Repair since I am in process of credit repairing from the get go, not to mention "while you are in debt validation. I also use the "search" like miracle mentioned. I am thrilled that i can go and read about "FDCPA" "FCRA" "Method of Verification" and "sample letters". Thanks to all the mods and those that help by posting their step by step experiences and wisdom, "what we have learned". I just wish I had more time to read and read and read so that I could truly get the full affect of what this board offers! Please don't change a thing!! divemedic
Even though I have done this for awhile and I have dione well, I still learn something here almost everyday. I like the present format.
Carlos
As I said it was just a thought. Take for instancelets say their was an agency named "DEBT and CREDIT VALIDATION SERVICES" Attempting to search for them would pull up nearly every thread on this board, leaving the novice to sift through thousand of bits of information to "possibly" get the information (s)he needs. This weakens rather than reinforces, the consumer who may not have a lot of time to devote to defend him/herself against the collectors who do this for a living and have considerably more time and effort to put into it. Reading through the sitckys has given me about 75% of the info that I need but the rest of it really hard to find.Maybe we could makes stickys that follow specific collectors from inception to the gloriuous day that they seek to exist (hopelfully due to some class Action lawsuit). Here we could post and follow some of the low punches that CAs deliver, the best ways to counter them, and most importantly what was most effective against each specific CA. Once again, just a thought.
Xanathos
We used to have a lot of other forums. It created too much "hopping" issues for members, so we consolidated them into what we have now. It's not perfect, but it's about as good as can be set up.
dpgirl
I encourage you to keep things the way they are currently. There is already a lot going on here, more subdivisions would just be too much. All of it greatly appreciated, though and immensely helpful!!
CreditSuperstar
Hmmmm...I'd have to say that while I can usually find what I need, it may help newer members out if the sections were revamped and streamlined a bit. Just my 2 cents.FCS
