bsgeorge
Has anyone whose previously filed BK on a Citibank card, obtained another one in your post BK life?I was thinking of applying for a Citicard. It's been over ten years for me and all BKs are no longer on my credit report. I once had one but it went to collections, then I filed BK.I called Citibank and acted dumb, like I lost my card and gave them my SSN to see if they still had any info on me in their system ... sure enough it was all there from eight years ago: account went to collections, then bankruptcy. They must hold onto this info indefinitely.Do you think they would deny my credit again ... like holding a blacklist? Anyone with any experience here? Revco
I can tell you that I had a Sears card (through Citi) that went to collections. When I applied for a regular CC, I was denied despite a clean report with no negs on the one they checked. The reason was "too many recent collections" though, like I said, they didn't show on my CR. I would be inclined to say, yes, they blacklist.
sjsharks
Yes.If you BK on Citi, you will never again own a Citicard. They do blacklist. Same story with Sears, I CO a Sears account in 1986. To this day, I cannot get approved because of that CO.Sears is just brutal.________magic flight Edited February 3, 2011 by sjsharks
