tweedle3
I got my green card today from RJM and a letter from the credit bureau. The credit bureau says the debt is verified, But RJM has not verified anything to me. What do I do? Still wait for RJM to verify it to me?
wolfpup
i had the exact problem with RJM. I DV'd them twice before tehy responded, adn tehy verified twice with TU before they sent me a thing.I faxed them an ITS letter and they called me within the hour saying that they had purchased a bunch of accounts, and they were leaving it up to teh consumer to notify RJM that it is an inaccurate account. they offered to deleted my account right on the spot.fax them an ITS letter, spelling out their violation and that this account is NOT yours. good luck! GreatGadsby
if they verified it with the CRA b4 they signed for your letter, that's fine. what u do is dispute with the CRA's after you get the card back. then they've verified without sending you validation. tweedle3
so should I dispute with the cra again?
tweedle3
And yes they did verify to the cra before they signed the green card. Does that mean the debt is really verified or does it mean they just told the cra that it is and they beleve them? Do they still have to verify to me before it is valid??? GreatGadsby
it just means they verified it with the CRA. they still have to provide you with documentation to prove the debt is yours... did you write the DV letter in response to a letter they wrote you, or b/c you found them on your credit report? tweedle3
Actually it goes way back, RJM Hired a company called Northstar LS. They called my neighbor and gave her my SS# as a reference number!!! I then called Northstar to find out what was going on and they told me they where hired by RJM. They called themselves a Locating service but wanted me to pay them the debt. I them DV'd them and RJM. Within days Northstar sent back the green card and a letter dated the same day saying they no longer where dealing with the case that it was sent back to RJM. Rjm in September told me they where going to sue me in 48 hrs a judgment would be served!! Im Still waiting!!!!! I have filed a complaint with the FTC and the attorney general in my state. I have also contacted a Consumer protection attorney he took my case in a heart beat!!!! I hope this comes out good in the end!!!!!
