Mannerheim
Hey,I've been offline for a few days, and only this morning discovered the charming new aspects of Privacy Guard and their once-a-month pulling policy.I spoke with a CSR at PG, and she said that the new policy was implemented because people were using daily pulling to change their credit scores. (Could this be the alleged "urban myth" of "bumpage"?).So, folks, where do we go now? Which service will allow daily pulls (hopefully with a nice long trial period), and provide bumpage, as well? Thanks!
rising_score
I have been using mycreditkeeper, which is owned by the same company. They still allow you to pull daily, but I am concerned that they will change soon too.
Mannerheim
Hi,I just got off the phone with Mycreditkeeper, and they insisted that they were not the same company as PG. How dumb do they think we are?She told me that they will monitor my credit, and send an email notification if there is a change to my reports. Otherwise, I would be able to access my reports daily myself, if I choose. If this IS the same company, how are they getting away with it?Thanks. Tarheel Jack
The geniuses that work for these companies... I can hear that meeting now..."Sure we have identical features and format, but if we use a different COLOR for the site, nobody will be the wiser!"
