I just wanted to send out a quick thank you to all of you guys for helping me in my crusade against the debt collectors.

I just want to let everyone know that last month I sent out about 5 dv letters (one of which, was Sherman). I also, like many of you posters, recieved an affidavit and with the help of all of you guys, (thanks Pursuit!!), was able to respond to that phony affidavit and dispute it once again.

I just received in the mail, a letter from Alegis (Sherman), just basically telling me that this account was purchased from Sherman, the customer service department conducted research and this account will now be closed, they are going to delete all tradelines from all 3 of my reports. (This was a balance of $4715.87), I feel great.

THANKS ALL ONCE AGAIN!!! :PartyTime:

One down more to go.

Thank you all for all your continued support in this matter. I would be lost without this site and all the helpful information I have read.

I truly thank the people who came up with this bright idea for having this site in the first place.

I wish you all luck in your debt crusade. :roll:xxHellxx

Just be on the lookout for that account coming back to you again in the near future. Alegis IS Sherman...they sold the account to themselves, essentially (but not completely as they operate under different names).

Thing is, Sherman has about 9 "different" companies...

xan, do you think if it does come back, will it come back under one of their sister companies or maybe sell it to some other jdb?

I ask because on the back of the letter they sent me they listed all the names of their sister co's.

One more thing, and I thought this to be kind of strange, on the bottom of the letter, that states they are going to remove this tl from all 3 cra's they have the mini miranda printed on the bottom. Does that mean anything on this sort of letter?
