I received a letter from palisades dated 4/1/05. In the letter it states they are responding to my written request for my account. They also go on to say that while they are investigating my claim, they will submit a temporary deletion request to all 3 cra's and will become effective within 10 business days.

I have just pulled my cr on 4/30/05, to see that palisades is still listed on all 3 cr's and in addition, there is nothing stating that this debt is being disputed by consumer. So I go and look and the letter they sent me once again, and noticed that they are listing the oc: AT&T, the co date: 1/27/99. I live in NYS, this is past sol for them to collect, also, underneath is another paragraph which states "our dispute resolution process requires us to request details outlining the nature of your dispute as well as any substantiating documents. Upon receipt, we will order account documents from the original creditor and investigate your claim. Please mail info along w/this copy of this letter to our dispute department". WTF? what am I supposed to send these peopel, I have nothing. This is past SOL, it was a cellular account? Any advice on what I should or need to do regarding this?

You have no legal obligation to send them anything -- especially money now that it's past SOL. Doing so would be doing their work for them and helping to build a case against you.

You have a violation under your belt already with their failure to change the status to disputed. Draft and send your ITS letter after (if) they respond to your DV.
