CreditSuperstar
They are saying this is how long inquiries stay on your report. I had one from 4/7/2003. I called to have it removed this morning and they told me it stays for 25 months. Is this a load of crap or are they for real???FCS
momof5
Just because it is their "policy" does not make it legal! They pulled the same kind of crap on me 2 years ago when I tried to get them to delete a paid judgement that was over 7 years in age. The state of CO never processed the release, so I had to get them to do that. When they did, none of the CRAs would delete claiming that they use the date of RELEASE for deletion. I sent ITS showing receipt of payment and the LAW which stated 7 years from date of PAYMENT! I got my deletion and reassignment to Special Services for my troubles! Xanathos
Well the problem you run into with inquiries is the FCRA doesn't state how long they are supposed to be on a report. Inquiries were never supposed to be something that affected your credit score/credit worthiness one way or the other. It just sort of evolved that way.
