MrSmithInWashington
I never did, nor do I sign them. All correspondence is typed, and referenced purely by the account number.
miracle
Never, Ever sign anything to the CA's.. they have been know to falsify docs...... The only time I sign is when it is something going to the CRAs. Same with my SS#. I gave the CA's as little info as I possibly can. Good Luck! -Jenn
luna
Be very careful who you give your SS# to and certainly never to a CA. I've never signed a document either --best advice I've ever gotten.

tst888
I definitely will make that change from now on since it's been suggested. just still curious as to some stories or examples of what has resulted (negatively) from signing it.
miracle
I definitely will make that change from now on since it's been suggested. just still curious as to some stories or examples of what has resulted (negatively) from signing it.a general example is requesting the original contract and the CA or even the OC has copied the signature from your letter showing that you owe a debt that isn't your becaue they were presented with a siggy. kbean
NO, never give your SS# out. I made the mistake of doing so with a CA and they used the information to be able to verify an account, which they other wise could not have done!
Guest
Actually the best thing to do is HAND SIGN it in a way.. a scribble or such.. that you NEVER sign with on important documentsTht way if they copy your letter signature..you have them on forgery dead on.And you did sign it.. so its not and unsigned letter
