I have been cleaning my credit report for two years now and have been doing a good job, so I thought. I was denied a $500 credit limit Visa from my Credit Union yesterday, they told me I need good credit history for three years before they would give me a card, and that the only thing on my report that didn't show good credit was a medical collections that I thought I had finally gotten rid of. Well pulled my Equifax report with score today, SCORE 599 ::drowning:::<img src=:'> and this one medical colletion has now turned into ten accounts. I have sent four, note four, debt validation letters last one with intent to sue to this agency and have not recieved anything that validates this debts as mine. I just did a challenge with Equifax for the one account stating that it was in debt validation, recieved a letter back from EQ stating that I had five items deleted and two updated didn't make any note as to the challenge of this one account other then at the bottom of the letter it stated all other items in dispute have been removed from your report until verification is made. I went to the District court in my area to start the small claims paper work and was told that I could not file here that I would have to file in the county in which the defendent resides, which is over three hundered miles away. I thought that I could file a small claims anywhere if it fell under the FDCPA and the FDRA. If you can, will someone please tell me where it states that? So that I can get a copy and take it to the court house to show them that I have the right to file there. Thanks to every one that helps! I am trying to tie a knot in the end of my rope but I think its made of vasoline. D.

It really is time to haul them into court. Sometimes you can only go so far through the "civil" avenues (no pun intended). If you sent an ITS and did not follow up, they think you are a pansy. Show them that you aren't. Feel free to PM me if you want any assistance with starting a federal suit against them.
