philskidz Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 In Texas, other than bks, judgments and tax liens, old credit comes off the CR in 7 years. When does time start? From the date of the last business transaction or the date the creditor last reports which could go on indefinitely. Where can the law or statute be found. I scanned the FCRA and did not find a specific answer.
GreatGadsby Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 7 years 6 months from the date the major delinquency commenced.
philskidz Posted May 5, 2005 Author Report Posted May 5, 2005 Thanks for being so specific. Do you happen to know where this law or statute can be found?
Ahntara Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 FCRA 15 USC 1681c Section 605(a)©...The 180 day does not extend the 7-year running period. Derogatory data shows for 7 years from the date of last payment immediately prior to default.
