devil21
Im definitely curious to see how this plays out. I dont expect the standard CA/JDB hijinx to stop just because its IRS debt. How does that play out when you want to sue???God help us if they write into the law that you can't sue a CA/JDB collecting IRS debt.
Robert Nashville/Savannah
Frankly, I've been trying to figure out how this move helps the IRS...after all, they can already do just about ANYTHING with no due process; how much more heat can an outside collector put on a taxpayer?I also wonder how/if the FDCPA will apply or if it will be a moot issue in these cases?as I understand it (and as one might expect), the IRS has VERY specific guidelines and little freedom to depart from them in dealing with a taxpayer who owes money.
