Revco Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Risk Management has been a problem CA for me (and many others, as I've read) and their BS just keeps going on and on. Along with their reaging of my account for the last several years and their unwillingness to investigate a previous CA that I PAID who then transferred the debt - they've managed to do something to drop my Equifax score over 145 points in one day. (A 786 to a 641) This is for a freakin' account that is WELL over seven years old...and it's going to take me years to build back up to where I was at YESTERDAY!!! I'm not even sure what they did...the same account was on my CR earlier...DOLA stayed the same...but it's being reported as a NEW collection?!?!? Sorry to vent...I just had to after being set back to where I was a year ago with my credit repair. To top that off, I received a letter from the AG of Oregon today saying they won't investigate a CA that I'll likely be having to take to court here soon. Apparently they don't do that in Oregon. Grrrr....freakin' CA'sI did get some good news today...I was aprroved for a regular Chevron card (which inq' before this RMA thing) and got the regular card with a $1000 CL.
Tarheel Jack Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Sounds like you've got them on numerous violations. I'd take the fight to their doorstep.Congrats on the new card!
Revco Posted May 7, 2005 Author Report Posted May 7, 2005 I've thought about that...I've been battling Equifax over it for going on 8 months. I'm still waiting for Efx to get back to me on my last letter...but I suspect more of the same as this latest deal is probably a result of their 3rd investigation into these crooks. If Efx doesn't figure it out on this investigation, I'm going to be showing them my ace card along with my ITS. That should hopefully get their attention.I just wish the CRA's and CA's would abide by the law. Unfortunately, they can run all over us as, I imagine, because one out of fifty of us actually take it that level. It just ticks me off.My last conversation with RMA went something like this:"Hi, I am calling about my acct # blah blah blah""Yes, I see here you owe $450 and some change.""Actually, I've paid that to a previous CA.""We don't show that""Will you call XYZ Company and verify?""We don't do that""Do you think I'm going to pay this twice?""Well, we have grounds to take this to court""You've had this for over five years. You've done a bang-up job so far.""Ummm...well you owe us this amount""Says who?""Our records show you do.""Well, you owe me several thousand dollars, so I say. Pay up.""Uhhhhh..."Click...That's the goons I'm dealing with.
