Average Joe Posted May 7, 2005 Report Share Posted May 7, 2005 Hope some of you credit "vets" can help me with this one:I was reviewing some information on my credit report today, and realized that Asset Acceptance (CA) has changed the account number for a TL they are reporting on me. In a report in November of '04, the referenced account number only shows the last 4 digits, but when I checked it again in February, they were listing the account number by the FIRST 4 digits. Is this some trick being done by the CA?? Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, but when dealing with scumbag collectors, I gues you can never be too cautious! I just noticed that they had changed the account number as I was preparing my CMRRR for them this week. Any thoughts about why the account number has changed? striper1970 Posted May 16, 2005 Report Share Posted May 16, 2005 I just realized the samething. After filling for BK and had some of the accounts deleted.
