I have several inqs. on my crs and was wondering, even if they had permissible use to check my cr, can I still call up and try to have them removed? If so, what would I tell them to have them removed, they all had permission according to my crs to check my crs.

Thanks all in advance!!!

I've read people having different experiences with all the CRA's. I've consistently seen that Experian is near impossible, like Wert said.

It's funny...when I called Equifax to dispute some inq's...the guy asked me which ones (I had 8 at the time) and I mentioned two. He kept saying "next" after each one, click click click, "next"...so I just kept going until I hit all 8. I was going to leave one alone...but he said "next" and, well, it couldn't hurt.

Only way for you to find out is to give 'em a call and find out.

Hi flythai,

In a previous posting, you suggested Truecredit to pull daily credit reports, just like Privacy Guard used to provide. I checked with True Credit today, and they told me that they only allow monthly/quarterly pulls, and that the reports that are available between those times are the same one every day. Do you know otherwise?

I also wanted to give you and Inquiry strategy that worked for me.

When I started my credit cleanup, I had about 130 inquiries on my credit report. First, I called Experian, and they told me that if I was the victim of fraud, that I should file a police report and send it to them.

So, I visited the police department and filed a police report documenting that I believed that someone had been using my ss# to attempt to open credit. They gave me some resistance, since an account had actually not been opened, but I explained to them that attempted murder was a crime, even though there wasn't a body!

I then faxed the police report to the three CRAs, and Experian and Equifax whacked all of them (except for maybe six), without question. I called Transunion, and they told me that they didn't accept the police report because it didn't specifically state that someone had tried to open an account in my name.

So, for the few left on Experian and Equifax, as well as all of the Transunion, I wrote an ITS letter to all of them, stating that if they were authorized to pull my credit, it was not by me, and that my lawyer would be contacting them if they didn't remove the item(s) immediately.

As a result, I was left with about four inquiries on each bureau.

Good Luck!
